If you have any questions regarding A Primitive Place & Country Journal magazine, read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). After you have viewed the FAQ, and if your question is still not answered, you may contact us by email at appsubscriptions@yahoo.com. Please allow up to 3 days for an answer. We have a very small staff and cannot always get back to everyone right away.

FAQ:

1. When are the magazine subscriptions mailed, and when should I expect my issue to arrive in the mail?

Subscribers need to allow 8 to 12 weeks for delivery from the time that they subscribed, or 2 to 4 weeks from the actual date of shipment. This time frame is industry standard.

2. Who do I contact if my magazine is always late?

If you feel that you are experiencing a delay in receiving magazines in a timely manner, please contact the publisher of the magazine to ensure that they have your correct information and that the subscription has not expired.  We often find that the address given is a non-deliverable address, no P.O. Box given, or that a person only purchased a single copy and not a full subscription. So, please check your records first. The post office will not forward magazines, so please send your change of address to the publisher. If your magazine continues to arrive late, and you have already contacted the magazine publisher, please call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) to have Customer Service research the problem.

3. Why does it take you 8-12 weeks to mail my magazine?

When you purchase your subscription, it takes 7 - 14 days for it to get processed into our system. After it is entered onto a mailing list, it is then submitted to the mail house. It then goes through a mail system process to verify that all entered addresses are entered correctly and are deliverable. After the addresses get approved, the list gets processed and the labels are printed. Each magazine then gets inserted into a plastic mailing bag and the labels are applied. After the mail house gets the magazines ready for mailing, the appropriate paperwork must be filled out and submitted to the postal service for the bulk mailing. Once delivered to the post office, it is then processed, sorted according to zone and shipped. Your magazine may go to several locations before arriving at your destination. The postal service takes longer to deliver to some states or areas then others. Getting your magazine to you is not as simple as one of us inserting it into an envelope and mailing it to you.

4. All my friends have already gotten their magazine, what happened to mine?

Once we send a shipment out, it is then in the hands of the US Postal service. Not everyone will receive their magazine simultaneously. Due to certain variables beyond our control, such as zoning and how your local post office handles shipments, some will receive their issue earlier and some later. Be patient, your issue should be delivered within 2 to 4 weeks of actual shipment date, though maybe not at the same time as 'everyone else'.

If you feel that you have missed an issue, please read our FAQ before emailing us. You must notify us within 90 days, but not before 84 days has passed from date of purchase,  to receive a replacement. What this means is please allow the 8-12 week time period to pass from your date of purchase, before you email us about missing an issue. It takes 2-4 weeks to deliver magazines from our ship date and 8-12 weeks from your order date.

5. How often is A Primitive Place published?

A Primitive Place & Country Journal magazine is published four times per year: spring, summer, fall, and winter.

6. How do I place an order for a subscription?

All ordering information is located on the page 'Ordering'.

7. How do I purchase a Gift Subscription?

There is a special ordering button for purchasing a gift subscription. You can also click on the regular subscription button and, in the notes, indicate the recipient's name and address.

8. How do I know if my order went through?

After completing your order through PayPal, you have the option of printing a receipt. If you missed this step, don't worry. The receipt will also be emailed to you from PayPal. This receipt serves as your payment confirmation.

9. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment through PayPal on our site by an online purchase or you can mail in a check or money order. We are not set up to take credit card numbers over the phone or though the mail. Please do not send in credit card numbers. You can, however, enter a credit or debit card number through an online transaction on our site through PayPal. This is safe and secure.

10. I purchased a single copy to try it out and then decided to purchase a subscription. I just received, in the mail, the same exact issue I already have.

If you purchased a copy at a local shop or purchased a single copy online, and want to order a subscription, please let us know which issue you would like your subscription to start with. We have no way of knowing what issue you already have.

11. Can I buy A Primitive Place on the newstand?

12. I see that your fall/premier issue is sold out and I want one! Do you plan on doing a reprint?

At this time, we have no intentions of reprinting sold out issues. If we decide to do a reprint, we will notify you.

13. How do I get in contact with you? You don't have a phone number listed.
I want to call you.

You can contact us via email at appsubscriptions@yahoo.com
Or you can write to: A Primitive Place, LLC, 5825 175th Ave SE, Christine, ND 58015.  There are only two of us in this office. We do not have time to take calls, but do answer all emails.

14. I just received my magazine. Two days later, I received another one.

If you just recently renewed your subscription, you may have purchased a 'new' subscription instead of a 'renewal.' Please be sure to 'renew' your subscription and not purchase another subscription or you will end up with two of each issue.

15. How will I know when it is time to renew my subscription? I don't want to miss an issue!

You will receive a renewal notice with the last issue on your subscription. You can also tell when your subscription expires by looking at your mailing label. You will see 'Exp. 0213' for example. 02 is the month and 13 is the year. 0213 in this case indicates that the Feb./Spring 2013 issue is the last issue on your subscription.
